In fact, you can easily visit Penzance from Land’s End, which was the base of the pirates in Gilbert and Sullivan’s famous opera, The Pirates of Penzance. Other charming attractions include the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Minack Theatre and Truro’s Gothic cathedral, as well as the towns of Padstow, Port Issac, Tintagel and Newquay.
