Norfolk Coast

Norfolk is the largest county in East Anglia, a region on the east coast of England, not far from London. It is well known for its Jurassic coastline and winding rivers known as the Norfolk Broads. One of Norfolk’s most popular destinations is the Queen’s residence of Sandringham House, a large stately manor visited frequently by the Royal Family. Cromer Hall in Norfolk is another popular destination as it is said to have inspired Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to write his most famous Sherlock Holmes story The Hound of the Baskervilles.

Norfolk’s coastline is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and its steep cliffs, looking out over the English Channel, are walked frequently by tourists. The largest city in Norfolk is Norwich, home to EPL team Norwich City FC, known as The Canaries locally. The team is over 117 years old, dating back to 1902, and play at home from their Norwich stadium, Carrow Road.
